Toronto, 21 January 2006:
Today, members of the Church of Scientology hit the streets of Toronto to get "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health" into the hands of the people of the city. Dozens of Toronto Scientologists participated in the effort.
All around the city, colourful Dianetics stress tables were set up, manned by cheerful booksellers. Hundreds of Dianetics stress tests were given throughout the day.
"We wanted to get out there early," said Otto Wilkens, the Public Executive Secretary for the Toronto Day church. "Toronto has a long tradition of introducing Dianetics to Torontoans and we expect to help hundreds of people learn about it today."
Indeed they did. Starting early in the morning and ending late that night, a whopping 724 Dianetics books were sold throughout the day.
"It was a fantastic effort," says Niki Coleman, the Executive Director of the Toronto Foundation church. "There is nothing as satisfying as helping someone else discover what Dianetics procedures can do for them."
